The rescue of Mr Pigeon!

Today was a very unusual day for Mrinmayee and Kshipra. It started like this. Mrinmayee came to Kshipra's house to play. It was when they went to the veranda, that we noticed a  gray, slightly fat blob. When they went closer, they noticed it was a little injured pigeon. " At first we thought it was dead. But then we saw its eyes flutter. Then we saw its belly move up and down. We were relieved it was alive." At once, Kshipra rushed to her mother while Mrinmayee stayed back to keep a lookout for dogs and other animals. " Ammaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! There's a pigeon in the garden and we think it is hurt. Come quick! When Kshipra's mother came, the pigeon was fluttering around and making a huge racket. "What should we do? I was watching it for a while but it was not moving much." "I think it scared." Kshipra's mother bent over to see the pigeon more closely. "I think it has hurt its wing." Kshipra bent over, "Should we get it some food?" "Get water." So, Mrinmayee ruched inside and got water, spilling half of it. Kshipra bent over and kept the water down next to the injured bird. But it just lay there, without moving a muscle. Then we alerted the rest of the club. Sri Harsh came with a cage. "I think wi should put it here for some time. If we leave it here, it may injure itself even more." So, Kshipra's mother picked up the creature with some difficulty and placed it inside the cage. We put some grains and some water in a cup and kept it inside. It stayed there for three days until, one day it was making a lot of noise. We let it out to see if its wing had healed. It wobbled around a little and then it spread its wings and took off to the sky.
